Today we are reporting on the new Beelink EX Docking Station, a dock that stands out for its design and the multiple options it incorporates.
This new dock is compatible with the new Beelink GTi14 Ultra and GTI12 Ultra mini PCs with external PCIe expansion slot . Thanks to this ability to pair them we can have all the power of this connector reaching 128 Gbps, much more than the 40 Gbps of USB4 and 64 Gbps of Oculink. In addition, it incorporates M.2 2232 slot for Wifi with two external antennas and an M.2 2280 slot for SSD.
A good solution if we already have one of these mini PCs and want to get more performance. The graphics power for gaming will be multiplied as we have seen in our eGPU comparison.
Beelink EX technical specifications
The Beelink EX Docking Station ‘s main attraction is its PCIe 4.0×8 connector that reaches speeds of 128 Gbps. Our Beelink GTi14 Ultra mini PC is connected to the side PCB of the dock through the external opening of the case, then can be fixed with screws. In the top area we have two 8 pin power ports that allow us to connect up to an NVIDI RTX 4090, so we can go spare.
In the inner area this Dock surprises us with the option to mount an additional NVMe 2280 SSD, also in that same area we have another M.2 2232 slot for Wifi and Bluetooth. You can also connect a pair of external Wifi antennas to improve the wireless range of the PC.
Other notable features
The box comes with an integrated 600 W power supply, we feed it through a power connector that we have in the rear area. This way the installation of this Dock will be quite clean and we will not have many cables on the table.
As highlights we have an extra 3-pin fan connector that will help us to mount a custom cooling system. In addition, we have a USB-A 2.0, power button and status LED on the top.
Price and availability
- The new Beelink EX Docking Station is available from Beelink and soon from AliExpress for a price of only about $159 with shipping included.
