If a few days ago we knew the new Beelink GT-R Pro, today we have it available through its financing campaign in Indiegogo at a very interesting price for the first to sign up. This new version of the recent Beelink GT-R now integrates an extra connection HUB to connect our mobile phone through a USB Type-C port and also a dedicated Hi-Fi audio module to improve the sound quality.
SoC, RAM and storage
The new Beelink GT-R Pro mini PC includes an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H APU, an eight-wire Quad Core APU manufactured in 14 nm with Zen 2 processors that reach up to 3.7 GHz and includes a powerful Radeon Vega 8 GPU. As a ventilation system, a solution similar to notebooks is adopted, and we have two blower fans with a system of pipes in contact with the APU, this processor is installed in some notebooks and looks like an identical design to the one found in them.
It is possible that this mini PC will be released in barebone formats without memory or disk, but we will surely have versions with 4/8/16 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz RAM and different storage options for its M.2 2280 SATA and NVMe SSD disk slots. Inside this small box we can also mount an internal 2.5″ SATA disk, and we also have a SD card reader.
Other specifications
For wireless connectivity, the Beelink GT-R Pro has a WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 adapter with two connectors for external antennas. On the front of the box we have 2 USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C port with video output, 3.5 mm audio jacks and a BIOS reset button. On the back we have two Gigabit network connectors, four USB 3.0 connectors, two HDMI 2.0 video outputs and a DP 1.4 with 4K@60 HDR support giving us a total of 4 simultaneous displays.
In the lower area of connectors we can see two different areas, one with the name of Extension where we can connect our smartphone by the USB Type-C connector to use it as an external HUB, an HDMI video output (smartphone must be compatible) and two USB ports to connect peripherals. We also have dedicated Hi-Fi hardware that enhances the sound chip mounted on the basic Beelink GT-R model.
This hardware is 100% compatible with Windows 10 and Linux, in the front area we have two microphones to give orders to Cortana if we want. It has a VESA support included by default to fix it on our monitor and a mobile phone holder with different regulation systems.
