Beelink GT1-A with Netflix 4K support is now official

The new Beelink GT1-A has been officially presented and will be known with this name from now on. As we saw a few weeks ago this is a new version of the Beelink GT1 Ultimate that we test in 2017 in one of our REVIEWS. In this new device the OS is now Android TV 7, it includes a control with voice control as standard and, according to Beelink, it has Netflix 4K support, something we will check in a few days.

SoC, RAM and storage

Beelink GT1-A integrates the Amlogic S912 Octa core Cortex-A53 SoC that includes a Mali-T820MP3 GPU that allows us to play demanding titles such as PUGB. It also includes a 3GB DDR4 RAM board and 32GB of internal eMMC storage that can be extended by the microSD card reader it incorporates.

Other specifications

At the level of connections we have Wifi dual band AC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0, we have a Gigabit Ethernet connector, microSD card reader, HDMI 2.0a video port, AV output, optical audio and finally two USB 2.0 ports.

The operating system is Android TV 7.1 that brings simplicity to the use of the TV-Box, we also have an RF remote control with USB adapter that allows us to use voice commands with its integrated microphone, it also has an HDMI cable to connect it to our screen .

In this version we have Google Widevine L1 certificate with HDCP and some system modification that allows us as we say to see Netflix in 4K quality. We know that there are methods to achieve this that are still active as with the Dinobot U5 so everything is possible. Beelink says we also can have an extra SURPRISE … other DRM supported? Take a look to our review in the next days!
