We can now book the first Smart Box with the new Amlogic S905X3 SoC that arrives at stores, the Beelink GT1-MINI 2 that is already listed on Gearbest.com. As we have seen in our blog the new SoC S905X3 is an evolution of the well-known S905X2 that improves the ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores for the most modern, efficient and powerful ARM Cortex-A55. Although we can book the Beelink GT1-MINI 2 this will not be sent until August 2, anyway we hope to have a factory sample soon to make a review.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Beelink GT1-MINI 2 includes the SoC of AMlogic S905X3 a Quad Core that reaches up to 1.9 GHz and integrates a powerful GPU Mali-G31 MP2. As a novelty, it includes Cortex-A55 CPU cores that substantially improve performance with respect to the Cortex-A53, a Cortex-M4 processor and a Neural Network Accelerator that improves performance as Virtual Assistants.
The VPU is an Amlogic Video Engine 10 (AVE-10) with optional Dolby Vision HDR support, HDR10 +, HDR10, HLG and PRIME HDR in addition to BT.709 / BT.2020 / BT.2100 color profiles. At the moment we have available the version with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended from the included microSD card reader.
Other specifications
The Beelink GT1-MINI 2 Smart Box includes Wi-Fi wireless connectivity dual-band AC and Bluetooth 4.0. The connectors included in the plastic box are a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, analog audio and video port, a Gigabit Ethernet connector and an HDMI 2.1 video output with 4K @ 75fps support with HDR. The operating system is Android 9.0 and includes a remote control with microphone compatible with google assistant.
