Today we found in stores the new CarlinKit Mini SE, a system that allows you to wireless connection for your Apple CarPlay display or Android Auto.
Thanks to this small Stick we can, wirelessly, connect our mobile with the car and get all the advantages of this system without wires through. For it to work we need our car to be compatible with the Apple CarPlay system or Android Auto. A device that in this version only requires using Bluetooth to connect with our Smartphone directly.
Setting up this Stick is simple, the whole system is plug and play, connect and go. It is also possible to connect to the internet to receive OTA system updates.
CarlinKit Mini SE Specifications
This new Stick offers two designs, the CarlinKit Mini SE X1CA with USB-A male port for direct connection and the CarlinKit Mini SE X2CA with female connector to use a USB cable. This system offers automatic direct connectivity via Bluetooth, so we do not need to always connect it to the cell phone. It is compatible with touch screens, steering wheel or steering wheel control systems, calls and auxiliary panels.
To use it we only have to physically connect it to the USB port of our radio, it must be a screen compatible with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and then follow the instructions. Once the connection is established we will not have to repeat the process again.
Compatibility
It should be noted that to work our Car must be compatible with the CarPlay system, usually found in the brands Ford, Cupra, Honda, Nissan, Audio, Peugeot, Toyota, Skoda, VW, Volvo, Hyundai and Chevrolet among others. It is not compatible with BMW or other brands, please check.
