Today we are reporting on the new CarlinKit Mini Ultra and Mini5 Pro sticks, devices that allow you to use your Apple CarPlay or Android Auto screen wirelessly.
Through these two small Sticks it is possible, wirelessly, to connect our mobile with the car and get all the advantages of this system without the need for cumbersome cables. For this system to work we need our car to be compatible with the Apple CarPlay system or Android Auto. A device that in this version only requires using Bluetooth to connect with our Smartphone directly.
Setting up some of these Sticks is very simple, the whole system is plug and play, connect and go. It is also possible to connect to the internet to receive OTA system updates.
CarlinKit Mini Ultra and Mini5 Pro Specifications
This new Stick has two versions, the CarlinKit Mini Ultra is very compact in size and has a USB-A connector and comes with an extra USB-C adapter. On the other hand, the CarlinKit Mini5 Pro offers two USB-A and USB-C connectors on both ends, without the need for an adapter. These sticks automatically connect directly via Bluetooth, so we do not need to always connect it to the mobile. It is compatible with touch screens, steering wheel control systems, calls and auxiliary panels.
If we want to use it, we just have to let it physically connect to the USB port of our radio. Once the connection is established, it is configured by pairing it with our smartphone as indicated in the instructions in the manual, then we will not have to repeat the process again.
Compatibility
It should be noted that to work our Car must be compatible with the CarPlay system, usually found in Ford, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Ford, Audio, Peugeot, Toyota, Skoda, VW, Volvo, Hyundai, Cupra and Chevrolet brands among others. It is not compatible with BMW or other brand cars, please check.
