Today we came across a new autonomous car kit called the CarlinKit Tbox-LITE, which lets you easily update your car’s smart system.
This new Android car box features the Allwinner A133 processor and runs on a standalone Android operating system, which can be easily updated via OTA in the future. It’s an attractive option thanks to its powerful hardware, ideal for upgrading your car’s system, since all you need is compatibility with CarPlay or Android Auto. Plus, it offers options with an HDMI video output to connect a secondary screen or use a microSD card to store multimedia content.
The system setup is Plug and Play; you simply need to connect a USB-C cable and then activate the wireless system by pairing it with the phone you use in the car.
CarlinKit Tbox-LITE Specifications
Inside the CarlinKit Tbox S2 Ambient, we find a low-power Allwinner A133 SoC , a quad-core processor built with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores capable of reaching 1.6 GHz, paired with a PowerVR GE8300 GPU a low-end model by today’s standards but sufficient for this system.
This Android Auto Box is available in a single configuration with 2/4 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB of internal eMMC storage.

This Android 11-powered box comes in two versions: one with HDMI and another with a microSD slot for data storage. You can share your data connection via the dual-band Wi-Fi 5 system, and it also features Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. For connectivity, it includes a USB-C port to enable Android Auto on your car’s display and an additional USB-A port for connecting other peripherals.
For this system to work, your car must be compatible with the CarPlay or Android Auto system, which is typically found in SEAT, Cupra, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Audi, Peugeot, Toyota, Skoda, VW, Volvo, Hyundai, and Chevrolet models, among others.
