Announcing the new CHUWI AuBox X1 mini PC, a machine that joins this line of CHUWI products and offers us an interesting low-power processor.
This computer has a significantly different design compared to the first CHUWI AuBox we reviewed. In this case, it features an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V Octa Core processor that includes an IntelArc 130V iGPU with 7 Xe cores. It has a soldered memory board with 16GB of fast LPDR5X that will work in dual channel, ideal for accelerating gaming with iGPU. The design, as we can see, is quite conventional; it will have the classic VESA mount so it can be hung behind our monitor and out of the way.
We also have USB4 connectors for use with an external GPU. Adding this connector brings us to four simultaneous video outputs, allowing us to work with large amounts of information at once.
CHUWI AuBox X1 mini PC specifications
This new mini PCis poweredby the powerful Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor with the same 8-core configuration that reaches 4.5 GHz and 45 W. The GPU is an Intel Arc 130V with7 Xe-Cores up to 1.85 GHz with image and performance enhancements with XeSS. In addition, it integrates an NPU for artificial intelligence tasks into its silicon which, combined with the processor, can achieve up to 97 TOPS.
In terms of RAM, it has 16GB of soldered LPDDR5X 8533 MT/s RAM in Dual Channel, which is not expandable. For storage, it comes with a 512GB disk and two high-speed NVMe PCIe 5.0 SSD connectors that support drives up to 8TB.
Other notable features
For network connectivity, there is high-speed Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a high-speed RJ45 2.5 GB network port. The ports on the perimeter of the case include several USB-A 3.2 Gen2, USB-A 2.0, a USB4 up to 40 Gbps with DisplayPort video output, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. In addition to these ports, there are two HDMI 2.1 and one DP1.4, for a total of four 8K@60 HDR video outputs.
There is an external power supply that connects to the rear DC jack. The operating system is Windows 11 Pro, but we can install Linux in any popular distribution if we like.
