We have today on offer the new 14.1-inch notebook called Chuwi HeroBook that surprises us with the inclusion of the Intel Atom x5-E8000 SoC, a processor launched years ago and that we have seen in very few devices, the low stock number of Intel processors makes brands turn to anything in the their catalog. A SoC that exceeds by a little power the Intel Atom x5-Z8350 and that can serve us for office automation, browsing or multimedia.
SoC, Ram and storage
Chuwi HeroBook includes the little extended Intel Atom x5-E8000 Quad Core SoC that reaches up to 1GHz, a processor that integrates the Intel HD Graphics 3000 8th generation GPU, the consumption is 5W TPD somewhat superior to the classic Intel Atom x5-Z8350 that can go down to 2W. Inside this model integrates 4GB DDR3L RAM and 64GB of internal storage eMMc expandable thanks to the possibility of mounting an M.2 disk inside.
Screen and other specifications
The IPS screen is 14.1 inches narrow frames and a resolution is 1920 × 1200 pixels. In terms of wireless connectivity we have Wifi a/b/g/n dual band with integrated Bluetooth 4.0. The included connectors are two USB 3.0 ports, audio jack and a microHDMI port. The battery will be 38Wh and advertise that it will last around 8-9 hours, the keyboard has a fairly generous touchpad that supports touch gestures.
