We had already heard about the Chuwi Hi9 Air tablet, a model that is taking a long time to reach the market and that has received important changes during its design, since now its SoC will be a Deca Core Mediatek Helio X20 that integrates a 4G-LTE modem, a SoC definitely at liquidation price after the abandonment of Mediatek of its plans in the high-end chips. With these latest news we also note that it includes a metal body with reduced screen frames that give it a very modern look.
Chuwi Hi9 Air will finally integrate the Mediatek Helio X20 Deca Core SoC with 2 ARM Cortex-A72 processors, eight Cortex-A53 and a Mali-T880mp4 GPU at 780 mhz of maximum speed. The RAM is 4 GB, the storage is 64 GB and modem with compatibility with 2G / 3G / 4G Cat.6 networks with DUAL SIM. The screen is a 10.1-inch IPS OGS with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, this is accompanied by a front camera and a flash back although we do not know its resolution. In terms of connectivity we look at a 3.5 mm audio jack and what looks like a microUSB port, although it probably has a microSD card reader and possibly an HDMI output.
- Chuwi Hi9 Air currently has no price or availability date although we can find it in stores like Gearbest.com where we still see the model announced at first with SoC MTK8173.
