We already have available the new mini PC CHUWI LarkBox S that surprises us with a design with Cyberpunk touches in its box.
Inside this mini PC from Chuwi we have driving the system an i3 processor of the 12th Generation, specifically an Intel Core i3-1220P originally designed to be used in laptops. Its performance doesn’t seem to be superior to most AMD 4000s and 5000s and the GPU is a trimmed down Intel Xe with some interesting feature like its support for the AV1 codec. Basically, a more powerful productivity-oriented chip than the Nxxx series.
We highlight its 2 SO-DIMM slots and as aesthetic details, the dynamic RGB lighting around the front connectors. Fortunately, for those who do not like it, the RGB strip can be disabled from the BIOS,
CHUWI LarkBox S Specifications
The motor of this new mini PC is the Intel Core-i3 1220P processor, a Deca Core manufactured in 10 nm and with a TDP of between 20 and 64 W. This chip includes 8 efficient cores reaching 3.30 Ghz, 2 high performance cores reaching up to 4.4 Ggz and 12 threads. The GPU is an Intel UHD Gen12 (Intel Xe trimmed) with 64 execution units and a dynamic frequency of up to 1.1 Ghz.
For RAM we have two SO-DIMM DDR4-3200 MHz slots with 16 GB installed and support up to 64 GB. In the storage section we have a M.2 2280 SSD for PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 512 GB capacity and a free bay for 2.5-inch SATA3 storage drives installed.
Other features
For the network connectivity we have a module with Wifi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and a Gigabit Ethernet port. As connectors, we have on the front a USB-C enabled for data / video / charging, a USB-C 3.2 Gen1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the back we also have HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 and two USB-A 2.0 ports.
The power supply is external, the operating system is Windows 11 Home and a VESA bracket is included for mounting behind any TV or monitor.
