We already have in stores a new retro console called Coolbaby RS-63 with a design like the one that have the ruggedized smartphones that you may like or not …
This console is powered by a Rockchip RK3128 SoC that we have seen in some TV-Boxes and is now gaining popularity among Chinese laptops destined for emulation. The OS is a modified version of Android (we do not know which version) but it seems that you can install apps without problems and seems to support more than 20 emulators from GB to PS1, surely preloaded and with games.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Coolbaby RS-63 includes a Rockchip RK3128 Quad Core SoC, with ARM Cortex-A7 processors capable of reaching 1.3Ghz and a Mali-400 MP2 ARM GPU. We also have 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage memory that we can expand thanks to the included micro SD card reader that supports cards up to 32 GB.
Display and other specifications
Its screen is a 4 inch IPS with a resolution of 800×480 pixels protected with tempered glass. Regarding connectors, we have besides the micro SD card reader, 3.5 mm audio jack, HDMI video output and a pair of USB 2.0 ports where we can connect a pair of external Gamepads. The battery is 2500 mAh and according to advertising can have a duration of more than 4 hours.
For the control we note that we have 2 analog sticks, crosshead, a pair of D-Pads aligned, 8 buttons and two triggers (bad choice for some emulators). Finally commenting on the inclusion of two speakers, something uncommon in this type of Chinese consoles.
