The cheapest SoC of Rockchip is the RK3229, a Quad Core that is not having much diffusion in the world of the TV-Box since it has difficult opponents to beat like The Amlogic’s S905X and S905W. However we found some new TV-Box equipped with this SoC as the COOWELL V11 Plus a mediaplayer that aims at the low range although it surprises us with its connectivity options, good for its sector, and its 2GB of RAM something that makes it a little more interesting.
Within the COOWELL V11 Plus we found the Quad Core SoC Rockchip RK3229 that integrates ARM Cortex-A7 processors and a Mali-400mp2 GPU. It also includes 2GB of RAM, 16GB of eMMc storage memory and b/g/n Wi-Fi with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. In the level of connectivity on the sides we find two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 and microSD card reader while in the back we have an HDMI 2.0 video output that allows 4K up to 60fps, 10/100 network port, Analog connector and SPDIF digital audio output.
In terms of operating system we found Android 7.1 and among the accessories could not miss a basic IR remote control in addition to an HDMI cable to connect it to our TV or screen.
