We already have available for download and install CoreELEC 22.0 Alpha1 based on Kodi 22.0 Piers, a new build that starts with important changes.
This new CoreELEC OS download available for download, a multimedia system like KODI oriented to Android TV-Box Amlogic exclusively. The most relevant changes in this new version 22 is the change of the system kernel and that it is already compatible with the old TV-Box with SoC Amlogic S905X, a very old hardware. We can test on our Android TV-Box to see if we notice improvements in this regard.

CoreELEC 22.0 Piers Alpha1 Changelog
CoreELEC 22.0-Piers_alpha1 is now available. We have made significant progress towards the first alpha release of Kodi Piers, with substantial changes to CoreELEC. It is based on Kodi Piers v22.0 Alpha 1.
CoreELEC 22 is now the active development branch, based on CoreELEC 21. Devices using Amlogic SoC S905X (GXL) or earlier versions will no longer be compatible with CoreELEC 22.0-Piers. CoreELEC 22 includes the latest 5.15.153 kernel code base, providing compatibility with the latest Amlogic devices available on the market.
