We found a new Chinese smart TV box on AliExpress called the CZ2000. This time, it’s based on the Amlogic S905X5M processor, and its price really stands out—though in a negative way—since it costs around €83, which is very expensive for what it offers.
This TV box is powered by the Quad-Core Amlogic S905X5M processor, manufactured on a 6-nm process, which is significantly more efficient than the Amlogic S905X4 and much more powerful, as you can see in our review. This SoC comes with 2/4 GB of DDR4 RAM and 16/32 GB of eMMC storage. If you want to expand the storage, you can use the included microSD card reader.
In terms of wireless connectivity, the CZ2000 features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. The ports included on its plastic case are two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a gigabit Ethernet port, and an HDMI 2.0 video output supporting resolutions up to 4K at 60 FPS, as well as HDR10 and the AV1 codec.
This TV box runs on Android TV 14, but it lacks DRM certification for Netflix and similar services—unlike the Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen, which uses the same processor—so it is not suitable for use with paid streaming platforms. It also includes a Bluetooth remote control equipped with gyroscopes so it can be used as an air mouse.
