New Android Box appearing on AliExpress, this time called Dcolor GD2 and which seems to come with Google certified operating system.
A small Chinese box that includes Android TV 12 as user environment, comes with an interesting SoC AMlogic S905Y4-B in its version with support for Dolby Atmos and among other aspects also includes native decoding of the AV1 codec. We also have integrated Chromecast to easily send content from smartphones and tablets and access to the Google store to download all kinds of apps.
An Android box that will work very well as a local video player and to run apps, emulators and much more. In advertising, it is stated that it includes Widevine L1 DRM certificates to use paid streaming apps in good quality, although for its price it is better to opt for a proven alternative.
Dcolor GD2 Specifications
This Android TV Box includes as its backbone an AMlogic S905Y4-B processor manufactured in 12nm. This chip is a Quad Core with low power consumption ARM Cortex-A35 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz. An SoC that includes AV1 codec decoding, support for video output up to 4K@60fps resolutions and compatibility with HDR 10, HDR10 and HLG technologies.
This Smart Box has 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM memory soldered on its motherboard. We have 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the micro SD card reader included on the side of the plastic box.

The Dcolor GD2 has for wireless connectivity Wifi aC Dual Band with internal antennas and Bluetooth 5.0. Connectors included on the perimeter of its small plastic case are two USB 2.0 ports, 3.5 mm jack for analogue audio and video output, an RJ45 10/100 Ethernet network connector, SPDIF digital audio interface and an HDMI 2.1 video output.
