We already have the official announcement of the landing of the Disney+ streaming service in Europe (most part), the date chosen will be March 24. Something sooner than expected perhaps because of the hacking data of his hit series The Mandalorian that is damaging the global premiere of this platform. The first European countries to receive this service will be United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Ireland and Switzerland, others like Nordic countries, Belgium and Portugal will have to wait until Summer 2020.
Key points of the Disney + service at its premiere:
- €6.99 per month or €69.99 for one year.
- 4 simultaneous screens.
- 10 devices where we can download offline content.
- 7 user profiles.
- Parental Controls
- Content in 1080p or 4K without differentiated plans.
As we can see we have some very interesting content options since this platform has almost all the historical content of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, LucasFilm and National Geographic, as well as new own content such as “The world according to Jeff Goldblum”, “Back to scenario”, “Diary of a future president”, a new version of “High School Musical”, the documentary “The Imagineering Story” and the hit “The Mandalorian”, in addition to many more projects that are under preparation.
For now the new content is not impressive but little by little titles will be added although the investment dedicated exclusively to Disney+ with 2 billion dollars is far away while Netflix has invested 12 billion dollars. However, it surpasses HBO with only 1 billion that is the channel with better efficiency.
Soon we will publish a detailed guide on usage options, video and audio quality, as well as a compatibility test with all Android TV-Box that pass through our hands. Compatibility is assured for now on Smartphones, SmartTV, current consoles and PCs using browser.
