This time we found a new low-end TV-box called Docooler R39 STAR in our classic walk through Chinese stores. A Chinese device with its usual plastic box and which is based on the Quad Core RK3229 SoC, a basic SoC but as a media player swallows almost everything. Note that this TV-Box includes OS Android 7.1, although as usual in this type of equipment updates are not guaranteed as usuall.
SoC, RAM and storage
The TV-Box Docooler R39 STAR is a mediaplayer that includes the SoC of Rockchip RK3229 like central piece, with four processors ARM Cortex-A7 able to arrive until the 1.5 Ghz and a GPU Mali-400mp2 able to reproduce video with up to 4K resolutions @ 60fps. This device integrates 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable eMMc storage memory thanks to the microSD card reader included in one of the sides.
Other features
In terms of wireless connectivity as many computers in this range does not include Bluetooth, only wifi b/g/n with internal antenna. As for connectors we find 2 USB 2.0 ports, analog audio and video output, HDMI 2.0 connector and a 10/100 RJ45 network port. As always among the accessories included in addition to the connection cables and DC adapter we have an IR remote control.
