New Chinese TV-Box that we see in stores that includes “certification” of Google and Android TV 8.0 as OS, this time called DreaMedia M1. Under the face of a Chinese TV-Box more we found a mediaplayer with support for Chromecast and for Google Assistant thanks to the Bluetooth remote control with microphone that is included.
According to the advertising also has DRM certificates such as Google Widevine and support for Microsoft Playready which can allow us to see Amazon Prime Video in 4K resolution. We hope to make a review soon of this team and see what it really offers us.
SoC, RAM and Storage
The DreaMedia M1 TV-Box includes the S905X SoC from the Chinese brand Amlogic, a Quad Core with 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU. On the board we have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended from the microSD card reader that this equipment includes. A configuration with enough SoC and RAM to move any multimedia file without problems as well as most games although the base storage memory is a bit short.
