One of the most interesting retro consoles in the cheap range lately is the E6, since in addition to carrying a 5″ IPS screen, it is now compatible with AmberELEC.
The E6 retro handheld console has a unique design that drinks from the Steam Deck, the appearance is the only similarity, since internally they are two completely different machines. Inside we find a modest Quad Core Rockchip RK3326 processor with 1 GB of RAM and a horrible emulator launcher based on Android. Precisely the operating system section is the most exciting part of the E6, since it has AmberELEC available to install, which greatly improves the performance of this console.

The E6 console includes the Rockchip RK3326 SoC, a Quad Core manufactured in 28 nm. A chip with 4 ARM Cortex-A35 processors of low power consumption capable of reaching 1.5 Ghz of maximum speed and a well-known ARM Mali-G31 MP2 iGPU.
We also have integrated 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8 GB of storage memory that we can expand thanks to the included micro SD card reader.
Display and other notable features
The horizontal display of the E6 is an IPS with a size of 5 inches and resolution of 854×480 pixels. The internal battery is a 5000 mAh capable of lasting up to 4 hours of gaming according to advertising and recharging via a dedicated USB Type-C port.
As for controls, we have a configuration with an analogue crosshead, two analogue sticks with RGB ambient lighting, four triggers, start, select, menu and function key. The connectors we find are a USB Type-C OTG, micro HDMI video output and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
