Elephone A5 a 6.18″ with Helio P60 SoC and triple rear camera

Smartphones lovers with large screen have a new low-priced option with the Elephone A5. A terminal with some very interesting specifications and a worked design with for example, a reader of fingerprints on the side. The photographic aspect of this new smartphone seems quite good, we find can nothing more than three cameras in its back with effects such as depth adjustment. We will see the quality of the optics and cameras but it can be an interesting alternative for its price considering its hardware.

SoC, RAM and storage

The new Elephone A5 includes Mediatek’s Helio P60 Octa Core Soc manufactured in 12nm FinFET with a cluster with four ARM Cortex-A73 cores capable of reaching 2GHz, another cluster with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 2GHz, an ARM Mali GPU G72 MP3 up to 800 MHz and with an advanced NPU for AI. We also have on board 4GB RAM Dual Channel LPDDR4x and 64GB of storage memory expandable via the microSD card reader. A configuration with which we will not have problems to move any APP or game

Screen and other specifications

The screen is a 6.18 inches with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and notch where we have a pair of cameras of 20MP + 2MP that complement the back of 12.0MP + 5.0MP + 0.3MP with flash. We also find WIFi Dual Band aC, Bluetooth 4.2, fingerprint reader, GPS and a 4G-LTE modem with global bands. The battery is 4000mAh and supports fast charging. For connectivity we have a single USB Type-C port, although among the included accessories is a 3.5mm audio jack adapter.

The operating system is Android 8.1 Oreo in pure version that includes features such as facial unlocking and promises an update to Android
