For a few days we will have on offer in the well-known online store Gearbest.com the Elephone S8 smartphone that adds to the line of the “Full Screen” devices, has a 6-inch screen with 2K resolution and SHARP panel. A terminal with the usual design inspired by Samsung with a good screen ratio and a very interesting configuration although it lacks some small details such as the notification LED, the microSD card reader or the conventional audio jack.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Elephone S8 includes as engine a SoC Helium X25, a Deca Core with a cluster of 2 ARM Cortex-A72 processors and a pair of clusters with 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors each, the GPU is an ARM Mali-T880mp4 with a speed top of 850MHz. We also found 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of Samsung storage memory that we can not extend since it does not include integrated microSD cards.
Screen and other features
The screen of the Elephone S8 is a 6-inch Sharp with 2K resolution, 2560 x 1440 pixels and is protected with Corning Gorilla glass. In addition to the usual sensors we have an 8 MP camera on the front and on the back, oh miracle, a single 21 MP camera signed by Sony. It also includes Wi-Fi aC, Bluetooth 4.0, 4000 mAh battery, GPS, fingerprint reader and a 4G-LTE modem with Dual SIM. In terms of connectivity we also have only one USB Type-C port and the serial operating system is Android 7.1.1.
