Gamebox G7, a small retro TV-Box console with two Gamepads

With the name Gamebox G7 we find today a new TV-Box designed to be used as a retro console, which comes with two Gamedaps and 2 operating systems for use as a console or Android TV-Box.

We see that it includes as engine an entry-level AMlogic S905G chip (version of the S905L) the same Quad Core SoC used by the well-known Xiaomi Mi Box S. A hardware with enough power to move most apps and even play 4K UHD content at 60 fps without problems.

It has dual operating system with Android 7.1 and LibreELEC 4.1 with emulators of CP1, CP2, CP3, Neogeo, GBX, MAME, FC, FCE, SFC, GB, GBA, GBC, MD, PS1, PSP, DC and others. A system oriented to retro gamers who don’t want to worry about buying gamepads or installing out-of-the-box emulators.

SoC, RAM and storage

The TV-Box Gamebox G7 features an Amlogic S905G (S905L) SoC, a Quad Core with 64 bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of up to 1.5 GHz and an ARM Mali-450 MP5 GPU.

On board we have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from using the micro SD slot up to 128 GB which also allows us to copy more games within the system.

Other specifications

The Gamebox G7 includes with respect to wireless connectivity Wifi b/g/n with internal antenna. Connectors are two USB 2.0 ports, RJ45 10/100 network connector, HDMI 2.0a 4K@60fps video output with HDR support and AV interface for sound and analog video.

As always, a basic IR remote control, power supply and cables are included to use this box from the very first moment. We also have the option to buy it with two Gamepads with cable or wireless adapter.
