We already have with us the new Gigabyte BRIX 2023, mini PCs that debut a new design much more compact and attractive compared to previous generations.
These new mini PCs offer almost the full range of Intel Alder Lake-N processors of 12th generation. A hardware that offers good performance for light tasks, multimedia, office automation of all kinds or network operations. We also have connectivity at a good level thanks to the presence of Wifi 6 and Ethernet 2.5 GB.
On the other hand, it has DDR4 RAM memory with somewhat lower performance than the DDR5 memory supported by these processors and that we have already seen in use in other mini PCs already on sale.
Gigabyte BRIX 2023 Specifications
The new Gigabyte BRIX we have several processor options, all of which are part of the new 12th generation with Intel Alder Lake-N technology. The manufacturing process is 10 nm (Intel 7) which represents the end of Intel Celeron and Pentium processors, as well as a considerable improvement in performance.
- Intel N100 with 4 cores and 4 threads, 2.9/3.4GHz . Intel HD Graphics 750MHz GPU. TPD 6W.
- Intel N200 with 4 cores and 4 threads, 3.2G/3.7GHz. Intel HD Graphics 750MHz GPU. TPD 6W.
- Intel Core i3-N305 with 8 cores and 8 threads, 3.0/3.8GHz. Intel HD Graphics 1250MHz GPU. TPD 15W.
This mini PC will be available in different versions, combining RAM and storage in different capacities. On the board we find a slot for a DDR4 SO-DIMM module up to 3200Mhz and for storage we have two connectors for SSD M.2 NVMe 2280 PCI 3.0 x4.
Other features
In the wireless connectivity section we have an M.2 connector with an Intel AX203 module that offers Wifi 6 with Bluetooth 5.2. On the perimeter of the case we find three USB 2.0 ports, two USB-C 3.2 (10Gbps), another USB-A 3.2, a 2.5GB network port (Realtek RTL8125), an HDMI 2.0 output and a DisplayPort 1.4 both with support for 4K@60 video output.
This mini-computer is compatible with Windows 11 and Linux and includes an external power supply and grounding. It has a VESA compatible bracket to attach it to any monitor.
