Today we have news in the mini PC sector by Gigabyte, which has introduced a new line of Gigabyte BRIX S mini desktops with 10th generation Intel Comet Lake processors. This processors offer us 18% more performance globally and also offers us interesting specifications. On the other hand Gigabyte continues with a fairly conventional classic box design for these new miniPCs.
Processor and storage
The new Gigabyte Brix S 10Gen features four versions BRi3H-10110 with Intel Core i3-10110U processor with two cores and four threads up to 2.1 / 4.1GHz, BRi5H-10210 with Intel Core i5-10210U processor with four cores and eight threads up to 1.6 / 4.2GHz, BRi5H-10510 with Intel Core i7-10510U processor with four cores and eight threads up to 1.8 / 4.9GHz and finally the BRi5H-10710 with Intel Core i7-10710U processor with six cores and twelve threads up to 1.1 / 4.7GHz.
At the graphic level we continue with the Intel UHD Graphics 620 GPUs that allow us to run games at the basic level. With a maximum consumption we have a TPD of only 25 W and we can mount two SODIMM DDR4 modules up to 2666 MHz. This Brix miniPC allows us to mount an M.2 2280 type SSD compatible with Intel Optane technology and at the same time we have room for another 2.5-inch disk in the inner zone.
Connectivity and other specifications
We have two HMDI 2.0 video outputs with video support of up to 4K@60fps HDR and also has video hardware acceleration for h.265 and VP9 codecs. As for connectors in these models we have four USB 3.2 on the front with transfer speed up to 10 GBps one Type-C and on the back we have two other USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, Intel Gigabit Ethernet port, RS232 COM port, Wi- Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.2. In the lower area we have a VESA anchor compatible with measures 75×75 and 100×100 mm to hang them from our monitor.
Price and availability
- These new Gigabyte Brix S 10Gen will be available in several configurations, with operating system, memory and storage included but also in barebone format in stores like Amazon o Newegg at an approximate price of $370 (€350).
