GMK G5, pocket PC with Intel N97 and 2.5G network

Today we present the GMK G5 micro PC, a small PC that uses a box that we have already seen on other occasions, but this time with an Intel N97 processor.

The Intel N97 is a chip with a TPD of 12 W which doubles that of the Intel N100 (6W) although it also has higher speeds in its processors and graphics, so the Intel N97 will be above the Intel N100 despite its nomenclature. The configuration of this mini PC is perfectly valid for use in office automation, productivity, education or multimedia playback, since we have 12 GB of RAM.

Its case is only 72 x 72 x 44.5 mm in size and inside we do not have too many surprises, we will only point out its 2.5G network port and its M.2 module for wireless connectivity, which at least we can easily change for another superior one.

GMK G5 Specifications

Inside the GMK G5 micro PC we find a 12th generation Intel N97 processor manufactured in 10 nm and with a maximum power consumption of 12W. This chip is a Quad Core with four threads and speed up to 3.6 GHz. The GPU is an Intel Core UHD GPU with 24EU up to 1.2 Ghz. A processor suitable for desktop use, occasional gaming, industrial work, digital signage and design applications in medium load.

For RAM, we have 12 GB LPDDR5 at 4800 Mhz soldered on board and, therefore, we can not upgrade. For storage, we find a M2 2242 SSD with options up to 1 TB capacity.

Other notable features

For wireless connectivity inside the GMK G5 we have an M.2 adapter with dual-band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 5.0 that we can easily upgrade. In terms of ports we find on the sides of the small case a 3.5 mm audio jack, 2.5G high-speed RJ45 network connector, three USB 3.2, micro SD card reader and two HDMI 2.0 outputs that allow us to output video resolutions up to 4K @ 60fps.

The operating system included in its SSD versions is Windows 11 PRO, it is compatible with Linux distributions and includes a small external power supply.
