GMKtec AD-GP1, new external graphics card with AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU

New external graphics card presented under the name of GMKtec AD-GP1, a solution to improve the graphics power of our mini PC or laptop.

This new eGPU has inside a dedicated AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT card with 8 GB of GDDR6 RAM, with it we will be able to run any current game at 1080p or higher at good quality. A graphics solution that we have already seen in other products similar external graphics cards. Along with the case that houses the graphics card we have an external 240 W adapter, enough power for its power supply in any scenario.

A very interesting hardware if we have a mini PC with USB4 or OCulink port that allows us to take full advantage of this port. You can see more details about eGPUs in our article about it.

GMKtec AD-GP1 Specifications

This external graphics card has a rather sober design with multiple ventilation slots. Inside we have the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT with RDNA 3 architecture, which has 8 GB GDDR6 18000 MHz 128 bits, core speed up to 2810 MHz with PCI-E 4.0×4 communication. We also have two DisplayPort 2.0 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports that allow 4K120Hz or 8K60Hz resolutions with HDR support.

In addition, it includes an OCulink 1.4i interface that gives us an output of 64 Gbps, although we can also opt for its more universal USB4 that reaches up to 40 Gbps.

Other ports and features

We have a USB4 port that gives us a 100 W PD output to power a laptop or mini PC, for example. Although it is better to connect any peripheral device feeding it in its own way, since this way we will not interfere in the bandwidth of the OCulink output or the USB4 that we use.

We have DC connector for the GaN 240 W power supply included. This card can be used in any system that supports USB4 or OCulink connection protocol, the latter is the one we recommend. Recently, we have quite a few offers of mini PCs with OCulink.
