We now have a release date for the GMKtec EVO-T2 mini PC, a device unveiled at CES a few months ago whose specifications have now been finalized.
This computer is an evolution of the GMKtec EVO-T1, this time featuring the new Intel Ultra Series 3 (Lunar Lake) processors. Powering this machine are the powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 388H and Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processors, two solutions that allow us to run any demanding app and 3D-intensive games to a certain extent. It features the new Intel Arc iGPU with the latest-generation Xe3 cores. Additionally, it includes two high-speed network ports, one of which is 10G Ethernet, making it ideal for setting up a powerful server.
It also stands out for the inclusion of two USB4 ports with speeds up to 40 Gbps and an OcuLink connector with speeds up to 64 Gbps, ideal for connecting an external GPU.
Specifications of the GMKtec EVO-T2 Mini PC
This new mini PC is powered by the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H, featuring a 16-core configuration (4P 8E 4LPE) up to 5.1 GHz with variable power consumption up to 65 W. The GPU is an Intel Arc B390, which integrates 12 Xe3 cores up to 2.5 GHz with image and performance enhancements via XeSS. It also features an NPU for artificial intelligence tasks up to 50 TOPS. More affordable versions will also be available with the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, offering the same features at a speed of 4.8 GHz.
For RAM, we can install a total of 64 GB of LPDDR5X in dual-channel mode up to 8533 MHz. For storage, there are three slots for 2280 NVMe PCIe 5.0×4 SSDs, along with an additional 4.0×1 slot, providing a total capacity of up to 16 TB.
Other notable features
In terms of connectivity, it features a Wi-Fi 7 wireless adapter, Bluetooth 5.4, a 2.5G Ethernet port, and a 10G Ethernet port. For ports, it features two USB-A 3.2 ports, two USB4 ports, an OcuLink connector for eGPU, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and two HDMI 2.1 DR 1.4 video outputs. In total, you can connect up to four displays simultaneously at 8K@60 HDR resolutions.
The external 12V power supply and the case design allow us to place it vertically or horizontally on our desk. The operating system is Windows 11 Pro, but we can install Linux if we want.
