GMKtec K11, new compact mini PC with AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS and OCulink

New compact computer called GMKtec K11 with peculiar design, OCulink connector and powerful AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS Octa Core processor.

This mini PC from GMKtec brand surprises us with its transparent top cover with RGB lights. Inside we find the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS Octa Core processor manufactured in 4mm with AMD Phoenix architecture. This chip integrates the efficient RADEON 780M GPU of which you can check its performance in our review. This compact computer stands out for incorporating two slots for SDD M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0, two SODIMM DDR5 5600 MHz and a good number of ports.

The GMKtec K11 also has an Oculink port on the front, with speeds of up to 64 Gbps and support for connecting an external GPU at the best speed.

Inside the small GEEKOM AE 7 integrates the powerful AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processormanufactured in 4nm with a TDP between 35 and 54 W and cooled by a fan. This chip is an Octa Core with 15 threads that reaches 5.2 Ghz in turbo mode. For graphics we have an integrated AMD 780M with 12 GPU RDNA 3 that reaches 2.8 Ghz maximum speed. Sufficient hardware for demanding apps and quite demanding games at 1080p.

If we open it we can locate two DDR5 5600 Mhz slots that allow mounting up to 64 GB. For storage we have the option to install an SSD M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 up to 4 TB capacity.

Other notable features

In the network connectivity section, we have an Intel adapter with Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 with internal antennas and two RJ45 2.5G network connectors. As interfaces we find on the perimeter of the case 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, another 2 USB-C 3.2 Gen2 Full, two USB-A 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, and two video outputs HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1, in total there are four video outputs available up to 8K with HDR.

This PC is powered by a small external 12V transformer included, a VESA plate is included to anchor it behind any monitor or TV. The operating system is Windows 11 Pro, but is compatible with Linux.
