New version of the GPD MicroPC 2 ultraportable, an interesting convertible concept that offers sufficient specs for many uses and a wide range of ports.
This new version of the GPD MicroPC 2 now features Intel N350 and N300 processors, which deliver solid performance for desktop and multimedia tasks. In terms of RAM, it comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5, and for storage, you can opt for an NVMe drive up to 4 TB. As we can see, this laptop stands out for its central hinge, which allows us to rotate the screen; thanks to this, it can be used in various positions, such as a conventional laptop or even as a tablet with its 7-inch touchscreen.
It features a reinforced, shock-resistant chassis and weighs just 490 g. An interesting option for any professional who needs a durable and flexible tool, both indoors and outdoors.
Specifications of the GPD MicroPC 2 with N350/N300
This new version features an Intel Core 3 N350processor manufacturedon a 10nm process with a maximum power consumption of just 7 W. This chip is an Octa-Core processor with eight threads and a clock speed of up to 3.9 GHz. The GPU is an Intel Core UHD GPU with 32 EUs that reaches a speed of 1.35 MHz. We also offer a simpler version with the Intel N300. These processors are suitable for office software, light gaming, and design applications with moderate workloads.
The board features 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM with speeds up to 4800 MHz. For storage, it includes an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 SSD with up to 4 TB of capacity, which can be expanded by opening the rear panel.
Display and other features
The display measures 7 inches, an increase from the 6-inch size we had before. As expected, it features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity in an integrated module. In terms of interfaces, this UMPC includes multiple USB-A and USB Type-C ports for video, audio, and data. It also features an RS232 connector, a Gigabit network interface, an HDMI output, and a serial port.
On the front, there is a small backlit QWERTY keyboard, which includes a touchpad with buttons and a built-in microphone. The included operating system is Windows 11 Pro, though it is compatible with any Linux distribution if preferred.
