GPD MicroPC vitaminizes with more RAM, storage and processor

Interesting version of the GPD MicroPC, a small pocket laptop with a 6 ″ screen aimed at the professional sector that substantially improves its performance and maintains the design of the original product.

Now in the GPD MicroPC we have an Intel Celeron N4120 processor, which replaces the N4100, while its RAM and storage are doubled to 8 and 256 GB respectively, something that is not bad at all, especially when it comes to moving the OS. With its reinforced body made of ABS, a weight of only 440 g and standard connector this UMPC is designed as a truly portable tool for technical work indoors as well as outdoors.

Processor, RAM and storage

This new version of the GPD MicroPC includes an Intel Celeron N4120 processor with 4 x86 cores capable of reaching 2.60Ghz in turbo mode and which includes an Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 12EU and a maximum speed of 700mhz that is capable of reproducing 4K video. @ 60fps. For its cooling we have a fan that we can operate manually with a switch and that has three positions. We also find 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 256 GB M.2 2242 SSD and a micro SD card reader.

Display and other features

The screen is a 6-inch IPS, with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, static brightness of 3000: 1 and that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Regarding wireless connectivity we have Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.2. In terms of interfaces, this UMPC includes 3 USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port for video, audio and data, an RS232, Gigabit network interface, HDMI output and serial port. The small QWERTY keyboard is backlit, includes a touchpad with buttons, microphone and the included battery is 6200 mAh with PD 2.0 fast charge. The operating system included is Windows 10 Pro, although it is compatible with Ubuntu MATE 18.10 of which a version can be downloaded from the GPD website.
