GT Media GTS debuts with satellite tuner and S905D SoC from Amlogic

The China Freesat brand has just launched a new device called GT Media GTS, a Box that stands out for including a satellite tuner inside. We also see that it includes an own Android launcher with updates via OTA, this brand will be especially careful with the IPTV, cccam and other protocols. Also this China brand has a support forum, something not very usual in the world of TV-Box.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Box GT Media GTS includes the S905D SoC, an Amlogic Quad Core with ARM-Cortex-A53 cores designed especially for mounting on computers with integrated tuners with a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of taking video resolutions up to 4K @ 60fps with support for HDR10 and HLG. Inside we also have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of storage memory. On the sides it seems that we have some door that would give access to a microSD card, but we can not confirm it.

Other specifications

At the level of wireless connectivity we have WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 and as connectors we find an HDMI 2.0 interface, a pair of USB 2.0 connectors, RJ45 10/100 network connector, an SPDIF digital audio output and the antenna input for the DVB-S2.

The operating system is Android 6.0 and includes among the accessories an infrared remote control.

It appears to have the same board as the GT Media GTC however with only one tuner instead 2 tuners. I have it and near 2 years old. Still has many errors and misspellings like the GT Media GTC does
