We found today in stores a new compact mini PC called GXMO GX55, a computer that offers the new Intel Celeron N5105 processor manufactured in 10 nm which provides good efficiency and low power consumption.
The GXMO GX55 is a small mini PC with dimensions of only 126 x 113 x 41 mm, measures that allow us to have it in any corner of our table or hang it behind our monitor thanks to its VESA support. Inside this mini PC we have the new Intel Celeron N5105 processor, along with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a M.2 NVme 2280 128/256 GB disk, we also have space for a 2.5″ SATA3 disk to store numerous files.
With this configuration we can run Windows 10 or 11 without problems, it is also possible to use office programs, consume multimedia files up to 4K60fps video resolutions or perform multi tabbed web browsing at a good level.
Processor, RAM and storage
On the motherboard of this GXMO GX55 mini PC we have an Intel Celeron N5105 processor, a Quad Core manufactured in 10 nm capable of reaching 2.9 GHz in burst mode and in which we find an Intel UHD Graphics GPU with support for h.265 and VP9 video playback up to 4K60fps resolutions. Attached to the processor we have a fan that extracts air from the side of the case to keep temperatures at bay, this processor does not have to generate much heat to be manufactured in 10nm.
The RAM memory installed is 8 GB LPDDR4 in two SODIMM modules, while with respect to storage we have a 128/256 GB M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD. In addition, inside the box we are allowed to mount a 2.5″ SATA3 hard disk drive that offers us a good price per gigabit if we want to store a lot of information.
Other specifications
This mini PC includes for wireless connectivity Wifi aC Dual Band with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. As for ports we find on the perimeter of the box two USB 3.0 connectors, two USB 2.0, three video outputs with two HDMI 2.0 and a USB-C that allow resolutions up to 4K@60fps, 3.5 mm audio jack and finally a Gigabit network connector.
The operating system included is Windows 10/11 or any Linux distribution. A computer that in addition to the classic office work can also be used to play IPTV, KODI addons, SAMBA server or run arcade emulators.
