Today we find in Chinese stores a new version of the popular low-price TV-Box H96 MAX, which in its version with RK3318 SoC is now sold with Android 10 as a novelty. A box of cheap range that we saw in review a while ago and that for its price is not bad if we take into account its limitations but that can serve us worthily as a multimedia player with KODI or streaming with YouTube.
Now we just have to wait if we can install Android 10 in the previous H96 MAX or the manufacturer has made some hardware modification in this new version that prevents this.
SoC, RAM and storage
The new TV-Box H96 MAX integrates the new Rockchip RK3318 SoC as a motor that has four ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding up to in 4K@60fps resolutions with HDR support. It has versions with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
Other specs
At the wireless connection level, this TV-Box has Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. On the sides of the box we have a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows up to 4K @ 60fps quality video resolutions. The classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable are included.
Price and availability in stores
- The H96 MAX TV-Box with RK3318 SoC and Android 10 can be purchased on Aliexpress.com and Banggood.com from $ 42.99 with free shipping.
