H96 Max Plus a low cost TV-Box with 4GB of RAM, Android 8.1 and Netflix HD support

Today we present a new Chinese TV-Box with Android called H96 Max Plus. A low-priced team that draws our attention by, according to advertising has support for Netflix HD and Youtube 4K, although as always this need to be checked as it is contingent on the duration of the hacks used. A device that uses at least Android 8.1 and includes 4GB of RAM, although has some hardware cuts on other aspects.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Box H96 Max Plus has as heart with the Rockchip RK3328 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a Mali-450mp2 GPU that natively decodes H.265 and VP9 video up to 4K@60fps resolutions with support for HLG HDR. It has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand using the included microSD card reader. A SoC that defends itself perfectly as a multimedia player and with KODI but with a GPU that is a bit fair for next-generation games in maximum detail.

Other specifications

The wireless connectivity of this TV-Box is basic and only has WiFi b / g / n. On the sides of its plastic box we have a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack and an HDMI 2.0a port that allows video up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions. It includes the classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable.

Price and availability in stores

  • The TV-Box H96 Max Plus can be purchased at Banggood.com from $43.99 (€38.03) in its version with 32GB of storage memory.
