Today we present the recent Android Box H96 MAX RK3518, a low-end device that attracts attention by including the low-end SoC Rockchip RK3518.
This is a processor that by its name is a trimmed version of the Rockchip RK3528, a SoC that is already quite basic, so the RK3518 does not seem a very recommendable option. We do not know some data about this SoC, such as the CPU and GPU clock speed, although we assume it will be low. Although the promotional images show the Netflix and Disney+ logo, this is a box without certificates, if we want quality streaming services we have to go to other certified solutions.
Its hardware is modest, something normal considering its price, and its operating system is Android 14 with AirPlay and Miracast compatibility to broadcast content wirelessly from any compatible mobile or tablet. The only positive point we found is that at least it already has Wi-Fi 6.

This small Android TV-Box includes a simple Rockchip RK3518 processor. This Chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors @1.42Ghz and a modest ARM MALI-450 MP2 GPU of which we don’t know its clock speed.
For RAM we have available versions with 1/2 GB DDR3 and for storage we can choose between versions with 8/16 GB eMMc. We also have a micro SD card reader on one side from where we can expand the storage memory.

In the field of wireless connectivity, we have this time Wi-Fi 6 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.4. As connectors, we find in its plastic box we find the normal in this type of boxes, a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, 10/100 network connector, 3.5 mm jack with analogue output and an HDMI 2.0 output port that allows us to output video up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions.
