If you are looking for something really cheap and simple to smarticize your old Android TV, the H96 MAX RK3518, is one of the cheapest options in the TV-Stick format,
The culprit of its low price, about 16 € is the low-end SoC Rockchip RK3518, a trimmed version of the already simple Rockchip RK3528, so we are in front of a very basic processor. This is a TV-Stick designed to be used as a multimedia player or with apps that do not need certificates such as YouTube or IPTV, as it does not have any. If we are looking for quality in paid streaming platforms such as Netflix, we should opt for other systems with certified Android.
Its operating system is Android 14 with AirPlay and Miracast compatibility to broadcast content wirelessly from any compatible mobile or tablet. The only positive point we found is that at least, like all devices with this new Rockchip SoC, it comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
H96 MAX RK3518 Specifications
This small Android Stick includes a simple low-end Rockchip RK3518 processor. This Chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors reaching 1.42 Ghz and a modest ARM MALI-450 MP2 GPU of which we do not know its clock speed.
For RAM we have a single version available with 2 GB DDR3 and for storage we find 8/16 GB eMMc. We also have a micro SD card reader on one side from where we can expand the storage memory.

In the field of wireless connectivity, we have this time Wi-Fi 6 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.0. As connectors we find in its small plastic box a single USB 2.0 port and an HDMI 2.0 output port that allows us to output video up to 4K@60fps resolutions.
