Again we find in the Chinese big stores a new TV-Box equipped with the cheapest SoC of the manufacturer Amlogic, the Quad Core S905W chip. H96 mini is the name of this new Box, name that we have already seen in other Chinese devices. In addition to the new box design, little else to comment on the hardware of this team that repeats the pattern of many Chinese teams that we have already seen on our website.
SoC, RAM and storage
At the hardware level, the H96 mini includes as engine the Amlogic S905W SoC, a Quad Core with 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU capable of decoding video up to resolutions 4K@30fps. On the board we found 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of storage memory of the eMMc type that we can expand thanks to the microSD card reader that we have on the side of its box. A configuration with which we can use any multimedia app like KODI without major problems.
Other features
At the level of wireless connectivity we have wifi b/g/n with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. As connectors we find in the perimeter of the plastic box an HDMI 2.0a interface, a pair of USB 2.0 ports, an analog A / V output and a network connector type RJ45 with 10/100 speed.
The operating system is Android 7.1.2 and as always among the accessories could not miss an IR remote control.
