We found today in stores the Wantolan N7 motherboard, a solution to build your home NAS with the powerful AMD Ryzen Gen8 processor.
This motherboard offers countless ports to build a powerful NAS or a high-performance mini PC. Thanks to the large number of storage connectors that integrates, we can install countless disk drives. In addition, we have the AMD Ryzen R7 8845HS eight-core processor manufactured in only 4 nm and supported by an AI processor with 38 TOPS. As a graphics processor, this APU has a Radeon 780M iGPU with RDNA3 architecture capable of running games at a good level. You can learn more details about this processor in our review.
By default, the board comes with the processor only, so we have to mount our RAM and disks. It comes ready to mount a conventional CPU fan and cables to install up to 9 SATA disks.

In this pcb we find soldered AMD Ryzen R7 8845HS Octa Core processor with sixteen threads, with speed up to 5.1 GHz and an NPU for AI up to 38 TOPS. It includes a powerful 12-core Radeon 780M iGPU that reaches a speed of 2.7 GHz. A processor manufactured in 4 nm with Zen 4/4c technology. With which we can move any demanding design application, games at a fairly high level or even perform tasks with heavy calculations.
In the RAM memory section we have two SO-DIMM DDR5 5600 MHz slots with 32 GB of RAM expandable up to 64 GB in Dual Channel. In the storage section we have two slots M.2 PCIe4.0 NVMe 2280 and allows us to connect up to 9 SATA disks using SFF-8643 cables.
Other notable features
In the connector area we have 3 USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB-A 2.0, a USB4 port (with Alt DP output), 3.5 mm audio jack and two 10G Ethernet ports. As video outputs we have HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors with support for up to 8K@60fps resolutions, we have a total of three video outputs if we count the USB-C. We also have a PCIe x16 slot to use a dedicated GPU.
The power supply we need a 24 pin 4 pin connector to an ATX power supply, but it can be compact and underpowered. The operating system supported is Windows 11 Pro, but we can also install Linux or any NAS-specific distribution.
