The new tablets from HMD, the heir brand of NOKIA, which has just launched its new HMD T21, are starting to arrive on the market.
This is a mid-range tablet with a 10.36-inch screen which highlights a body made of aluminium and waterproof plastic with IPX52 certification. Speaking of certificates, we also have Widevine DRM L1 that allows you to use apps from paid streaming platforms in HD quality as Netflix and others. About its hardware little to highlight, as it is similar to the Nokia T20, suitable for home use.
Its operating system is Android 13 with 2 OS updates guaranteed by the brand, up to Android 15 and security updates until the summer of 2027, one of the few strengths of this tablet.
HMD T21 tablet specifications
The new HMD T21 is powered by a 12 nm UNISOC T612 processor. This chip is an Octa Core that includes 2 high-performance ARM Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 1.8 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 1.8 GHz and an ARM Mali-G57 MP1 GPU that reaches 750 Mhz. Enough for simple games and also for demanding games in medium quality.
Soldered on the board, we find 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM that can be expanded with 8 GB extra virtually using the storage memory. For storage, we have 128 GB of UFS 2.1 memory that we can expand through the micro SD card reader up to 512 GB additional.
Display and other features
This tablet has a 10.36-inch IPS touchscreen display, a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels, 5:3 ratio, light sensor, 360 nits brightness and 60 Hz refresh. On the top frame of the display we have an 8 MP camera with microphone that complements the 8 MP rear with integrated LED flash.
This tablet features Wi-Fi aC connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, 4G-LTe modem with Dual SIM, GPS and an 8200 mAh battery with 18 W PD 3.0 fast charging. In terms of connectivity we have a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port, a 3.5 mm audio jack and for sound we have a pair of speakers and a pair of microphones.
