The new 12.1″ HONOR MagicPad 4 tablet was unveiled in China, adding another model to this popular line of devices with some interesting specs.
This mid-to-high-end tablet is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 octa-core processor, which ensures solid performance across the board. On the front, there’s an IPS display with a resolution of 3000 x 1872 and support for refresh rates of up to 165 Hz. The audio is no slouch either, with six speakers built into the frame.
The operating system is Android 16 with the MagicOS 10 skin, which includes a full PC mode and various AI tools. Its attractive metal body is 6.29 mm thick and weighs just 537 grams.
HONOR MagicPad 4 Specifications
Powering the HONOR MagicPad 4 (MLA-W09) is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (SM8735) octa-core processor, manufactured by TSMC using a 4nm process. This chip reaches up to 3.2 GHz on its ARM Cortex-X1 core, has three additional ARM Cortex-A720 cores that reach up to 3.0 GHz, and two ARM Cortex-A720 cores that run at 2.0 GHz. On the graphics side, it features a high-performance Adreno 825 GPU; for video, it includes the Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0; and it has a Hexagon NPU for artificial intelligence tasks.
RAM capacity is 8 or 12 GB, though it can be virtually expanded, as is customary. For storage, models are available with 256 GB.
Display and Other Features
The display is a 12.1-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3000 x 1872 pixels, a 165 Hz refresh rate, 700 nits of brightness, and support for HDR Vivid. On the front, there’s an 8 MP camera, while the rear features a 13 MP main sensor. It also includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 for wireless connectivity.
In terms of ports, it features a USB-C port; the battery has a capacity of 10,100 mAh with 66 W fast charging, and for audio, it includes six speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos.
