HP Chromebook X2 a new convertible tablet with Chrome OS system


It seems that Google is betting heavily on the Chrome OS system on tablets and with the new HP Chromebook X2 we have powerful hardware at a fairly tight price, a product that is in line with the Samsung Chromebook Pro we saw a while ago. No doubt the recent compatibility of Chrome OS with Android applications has given a new life to this environment that was previously very limited by the number of applications available.

SoC, RAM and storage

The HP Chromebook X2 tablet has the Intel Core M3-7Y30 dual core processor with four threads that integrates an Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU up to 900 MHz. It has two options with 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM type LPDDR3 up to 1600 MHz , in the storage section we found 32 GB of eMMC memory and we have extra storage available through your microSD card up to 256 GB.

Screen and other features

The 12.3 inch touch screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels is accompanied by a front camera of 5 MP and a rear of 13 MP, we also have stereo speakers B & O, two microphones and is compatible with Stylus. In terms of connectivity we have a audio jack, two, microSD card reader and two USB Type-C ports to which we can connect video and network adapters also available. At the communication level we have aC Wifi dual band and Bluetooth, the battery is 48 Wh which would give us an autonomy of 10 hours. The tablet has a weight of 25.5 oz and a thickness of 0,12 inches, with the convertible keyboard we have a weight of 49.3 oz and we reach 0.5 inches in thickness.
