A new mid-range terminal has just been launched in China with a special focus on photography, the HUAWEI nova 13 Pro.
A smartphone that highlights its photographic capabilities, with a dual front selfie camera of no less than 60 MP with an auxiliary 2x telephoto lens and a 50 MP main camera with 3x telephoto lens. It also stands out for its support for sending SMS using the coverage of the Chinese satellite network of BAIDU, even if we do not have conventional mobile data coverage, a feature unique to this eastern country.
As operating system we have HarmonyOS 4.2 with which we do not have access to the Google application store or its services, a negative point in many Huawei terminals. Of the rest of its hardware, highlight its SoC HUAWEI Kirin 8000 with about 420,000 points in Antutu v10 and its battery with fast charging of 100 W.
HUAWEI nova 13 Pro Specifications
Inside this new terminal we have as main engine a HUAWEI Kirin 8000 SoC manufactured in 7 nm. An Octa Core chip with an Arm Cortex-A77 processor at 2.4 Ghz, 3 ARM Cortex-A77 processors capable of reaching 2.2 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 processors with a maximum speed of 1.84 GHz. The iGPU is an Arm Mali-G610. A processor with a power to move apps without problems and games at medium or low level.
This new mid-range phone comes with 12 GB of RAM. For storage, we find versions with 128/256/512 GB, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB thanks to the micro SD card reader included.
Display and other features
The screen of the HUAWEI nova 13 Pro is a 6.67″ AMOLED, with a resolution of 2776 x 1224 pixels, 20.4:9 ratio and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In the photographic section we have two front cameras, a 60 MP wide-angle and an 8 MP 2x telephoto lens. In the rear area we find a module with three cameras, a 50 MP OIS main camera, an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 12 MP 3x telephoto lens.
For audio, we seem to have a single speaker and the battery is 6600 mAh with 100 W fast charging. For connectivity, we have Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, infrared transmitter / receiver, GPS 5 in 1 and a 4G/5G modem with Dual SIM. As interfaces, we find a single USB-C 2.0 port, while in this mobile terminal the fingerprint reader to unlock the smartphone is integrated into the screen.
Availability
- The new HUAWEI nova 13 Pro smartphone can be purchased in China for about $500, we do not know if it will be available outside this country, although it does not look like it.
