HY300, a mini cylindrical projector running Android 11

Chinese projectors never cease to surprise us, and today we find the original HY300, a system with cylindrical design and rotating support to put it in any position.

This small size projector that we can use anywhere integrates the new SoC Allwinner H713 that seems a minimal evolution of the Allwinner H616. As we see the rest of the specifications of this projector are quite normal, we have HD resolution and 1 GB of RAM that allows us to move simple apps on Android 11. The lighting power is not very high either, it is a system designed to carry easily and project content in a dark environment.

HY300 Specifications

The HY300 projector features LCD technology, a native HD 720p resolution, 1:1500 contrast and 120 ANSI Lumens brightness. The focus is manual, the keystone correction is automatic and we can get a screen with recommended dimensions of between 35″ and 130″ placing it between 1.2 and 4m.

This time due to its small size we do not see control keys in its small cylindrical box. We will only be able to control it through the remote control included.

Connections, multimedia and other features

This projector seems to premiere the Allwinner H713 SoC, a chip that includes 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.9 Ghz and an ARM MALI-G31 mp2 GPU with support for HDR10+ and MEMC video. It also includes 1 GB of DDR4 RAM, 8 GB of storage memory, Dual Band wifi 5 and Bluetooth 4.1.

The HY300 projector includes in the connectivity section in its rear area a USB 2.0 port, analog audio and video input port and a HDMI 2.0 video connector. The operating system is Android 11, quite modern in this sector.
