New generic miniPC called M8 that we found on AliExpress, although this time we are surprised by the presence of low-power Intel processors with a TDP of only 10W.
The Intel Core i7-1060NG7 and i5-1030NG7 are very energy efficient processors designed for laptops and Ultrabooks and based on the Ice LakeU generation. The GPU is Intel Iris Plus in its most powerful variant with 64 CUs that exceeds an AMD VEGA 10, so we have a valid miniPC for some games, in this aspect as well as capable of moving any program fluently.
The small size of its aluminium chassis also stands out, since it is only 117*90*30 mm, although on the other hand, its expansion options are quite limited due to this.
Specs
The M8 mini PC is available with two processor options, the most powerful of which is the Intel Core i7-1060NG7 manufactured in 10nm and with a TDP of 10W. This chip is a Quad Core with 8 threads capable of reaching 3.8 Ghz and with an Intel Iris Plus GPU with a maximum speed of 1.1 Ghz. The most modest version includes an Intel Core i5-1030NG7, also manufactured in 10nm and with a TDP of 10W. This processor is a Quad Core with 8 threads with a maximum speed of 3.5 GHz and the GPU is an Intel Iris Plus GPU albeit at 1.05 Ghz.
For RAM we currently have versions available with 8/16 GB LPDDR4 3200MHz with only one RAM slot. It also includes a 128/256/512 GB or 1 TB capacity M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0×4 SSD.
Other features
For wireless connectivity, it includes an M.2 Intel AC3165 card with dual-band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.2. As for connectors, we have 3 USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C, 3.5 mm audio jack with microphone support, Gigabit Ethernet port and HDMI 2.0a and DisplayPort video outputs that allow 4K@60fps video to be played without problems.
Among the accessories included we find a small external power supply, VESA compatible anchor, two HDMI cables and the installed operating system is Windows 11.
