It seems that the Android TV-Box market is being reactivated due to the lack of chips, and today we find the new Icestar TV-007 at an interesting price, an economic box that can serve as a basic media player.
The new Icestar TV-007 is a Box that we found today on AliExpress based on the SoC S905x3 (the specs have changed, it is S905X, if you bought it when it said S905x3 open dispute and claim 100% of the money), has a 4 GB RAM version, so we will not have problems when using Apps like KODI. Its specifications are the usual for its price, and we have multiple ports, curiously it does not have support for micro SD cards something usual in this type of products.
SoC, RAM and storage
The new Android TV-Box Icestar TV-007 includes the classic AMlogic S905X SoC, a Quad Core manufactured in 12 nm, which reaches up to 1.9 GHz speed and integrates a Mali-450 MP5 GPU. This SoC has 4 ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores. The VPU is an Amlogic Video Engine with HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG support among others.
We find this device available in versions with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32/64 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from some of its USB ports.
Other specifications
As for its wireless connectivity, we find Dual Band Wifi and Bluetooth 4.1 for all versions of this Smart Box. The connectors included in the plastic box are the usual ones we find in most boxes, a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, an Ethernet 10/100 connector, an analog AV interface, SPDIF digital audio output, ON/OFF button and an HDMI 2.0 video connector.
The operating system is Android 9 and an IR remote control with classic layout is included.
