IFA 2019 a review of the most interesting novelties

As every year we visit the IFA electronics fair and review Android devices and technologies that we find most interesting for the future. This year it seems that interest in virtual assistant devices such as Google Assistant and others are not as predominant and the new products focus on 8K screens that look like the next object of desire / marketing.

From the hand of Hisense we have two new SmartTVs with Android TV system that we hope to see in the market soon, a brand that offers us competitive prices and quite competent technology. Smart TVs that can be very interesting if they mount their Hisilicon SoCs that, as we have seen in our reviews, are excellent for video processing. The references of these televisions are 55A6501EU for the 55″ model and the 75U9A3U with 75″ size with local dimming, Ultra HD certified quality, Hi-View engine and 1200 nits of lighting. We will see how they compete with the Xiaomi Mi Smart TV that will soon be launched in Europe.

The Lenovo brand is one of the few that has focused its laptops on the Intel 10th generation processors and its Lenovo Carbon X1 range already has these processors on the market and as always they show off a spectacular design. This same brand also had a small area with smart displays / speakers with integrated Google Assistant.

At the LG stand, as every year we have a waste in the sector unprecedented screens and what was most striking were its folding screens that went up and down without stopping rolling up in its box. The 8K screens were the great attraction and showed us their televisions with Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple AirPlay compatibility, they do not marry anyone as we see.

The Panasonic brand has opted for the quality of its screens, its Smart TV boasted of Netflix calibration and the Cinema mode that meets the approval of leading figures in the sector. If you like image fidelity, processing, scanning and color, this brand has undoubtedly put a lot of effort into demonstrating that it offers quality.

Sharp continues its alliance with Google offering multiple models with support for Android TV, but what attracted the most attention is its 8K 120″ screen that captured all the eyes of the audience, I do not know if this size can enter many rooms the true.

This year we have also been struck by the launch of Wifi 6 as we have seen in the TP-Link stand with multiple models supporting this new protocol in several of its formats. The Chuwi brand this year did not have remarkable news but soon a new notebook with a 14 ″ screen will be presented and perhaps an update of its mini desktop PCs although everything is yet to be defined.
