Infinix XPAD Edge, mid-range tablet with large 13.2″ 2.4K display

The new Infinix XPAD Edge tablet has just been presented, which has started its international launch this month, and stands out for its large 13.2″ screen and 2.4K resolution.

The finishes of this tablet are quite good, as we see a metal body with a thickness of 619 mm, fairly small bezels and a weight of 588 grams. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC, an old acquaintance, is responsible for moving the whole set that with its 440,000 points in Antutu, we will have no performance problems to run any app and 99% of games. Also note its 4 speakers, although this time we do not have the Widevine L1 certificate, a pity for a tablet with this screen.

Inside this new tablet, we have as engine a well-known Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC manufactured in 6nm. An Octa Core chip with high-performance ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 2.8 GHz, four ARM Cortex-A53 processors with a maximum speed of 1.9 GHz and an Adreno 610 GPU that reaches 614 Mhz. A processor with a power to move apps without issues and games at medium or low level.

This tablet has versions with 4/8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM soldered on the board and for storage we have 128/256 GB UFS 2.2, with the option to expand it with up to 1 TB thanks to the micro SD card reader included.

Display and other notable features

The Infinix XPAD Edge tablet has an IPS screen with a size of 13.2 inches (ca. 34 centimeters) with a resolution of 2400×1600 pixels, aspect ratio 3:2, brightness of 400 nits and refresh rate of 60 Hz. The front camera is 8 MP, the rear camera is 8 MP and in the sound section we have a microphone and 4 DTS compatible speakers.

On the sides, we find its single USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. We also have wireless connectivity Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, 4G modem with slot for a SIM and the battery is 8000 mAh with fast charge of 18 W and reverse of 7.5 W.

Price and where to buy

  • The new Infinix XPAD Edge will be released this month to the international market for a price starting at $250, and includes a case with keyboard in case we want to use this tablet in a small laptop.
