Infinix ZERO 40 is official with Mediatek Helio G100 and AMOLED display

The Infinix ZERO 40, a mid-range smartphone with very interesting features, has just been officially unveiled. A terminal that we will not see in the West, as this brand is focused on emerging economies.

Inside this Infinix we find the new mid-range SoC MediaTek Helio G100, a small evolution of the popular SoC Mediatek Helio G99 present in multiple smartphones and tablets. Highlights in the new Infinix ZERO 40 is AMOLED screen with curved sides with a high brightness that reaches 1300 nits, so it will not be a problem to look at your screen even in bright sunlight. Its body has IP54 protection and in its rear design also highlights its circular module where are the three cameras that seem quite powerful because we have a main 108MP and a super wide angle of 50 MP

The operating system is Android 14 with the XOS 14.5 layer and the brand promises updates up to Android 16 and 3 years of security patches. By the way, we also have Widevine L1 DRM certification for high-resolution video playback from sources like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

Infinix ZERO 40 Specifications

Inside the Infinix ZERO 40 we find a MediaTek Helio G100 SoC, an Octa Core manufactured in 6 nm by TSMC. Inside, we have two clusters, the most powerful with 2 ARM Cortex-A76 processors that reach 2.2 Ghz and the most efficient with 6 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach 2.0 Ghz. The iGPU is an Arm Mali-G57 MC2.

For RAM, we have 8 GB LPDDR4X that allows us to load multiple apps or navigation tabs, with virtual memory we reach 16 GB. For storage, we have versions with 256 / 512 GB UFS 2.2 expandable by micro SD card with up to 1 TB extra.

As a screen we have a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, with a resolution 2436×1080, 120 Hz refresh, a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. In the photographic section we have a front camera with 50 MP ISOCELL sensor and rear cameras with 108 MP OIS for the main one, 50 MP wide angle and a 2 MP auxiliary one.

It has wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, quad GPS, infrared sensor, FM Radio, NFC and a 4G-LTe modem with Dual SIM. For connectivity, we find a USB Type-C 2.0 port, while the battery is 5000 mAh with 45 W fast charge and 10 W reverse.

In this tablet we have integrated 2 JBL speakers with DTS certification, Hi-RES AUDIO and Hi-RES AUDIO WIRELESS. Finally, note that this terminal has a thickness of 7.7 mm and a weight of around 180 grams.
