Intel presents its new Bean Canyon NUC’s with 8th generation processors

From Intel we get information about their new Bean Canyon NUC’s models that integrate the 8th generation processors of this company, as usual comes in several versions both in specifications and in box size. The models with references NUC8i7BEH, NUC8i5BEH, NUC8i5BEK, NUC8i3BEH, NUC8i3BEK integrate Intel Coffee Lake-U low consumption processors and wants to enter in the market with quite competitive prices.

These models feature with processors the Intel Core i3-8109U Dual core with four threads up to 3.6 GHz, Intel Core i5-8259U Quad core with eight threads up to 3.8 GHz or the powerful Intel Core i7-8559U Dual core with four threads up to 4.0 GHz, all have a consumption TPD of 28 W. These processors have a GPU Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 quite powerful that has 128 MB of integrated eDRAM that allows us to play without problems titles like LoL, DOTA 2 or CS: GO.

In the back we have HDMI 2.0a video output and USB-C charging compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 so we can use an adapter to have two screens connected at the same time, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.1 ports and power connector. On the front we have an IR receiver, two USB 3.1 ports, one of them charging as well as an input and output audio jack. The high model allows to mount a 2.5″ disk and the models with low profiles only an M.2 disk with Optane support. These models come with several combinations of RAM 2x SODIMM DDR4 up to 8 GB and they integrate an adapter Intel Wireless-AC 9560 CNVi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 5 and can bring Windows 10 pre installed.

  • The prices of these Intel NUC Bean Canyon will be $299 for the i3-8109U, $399 for the i5-8259U and $499 for the i7-8559U. They are expected to be available as of September.
